Khatu Shyamji is synonymous with Lord Krishna and thus he is worshipped in the same form. In Hinduism, KhatuShyam is a manifestation of Barbarika, son of Ghatotkacha. The legend begins with the Mahabharata. Khatushyamji or Khatu is a village of religious importance in Sikar District in Dhundhar region of Rajasthan in India. It is home to a famous temple of Khatushyam. It is one of the most sacred temples in India.
